DRAMA I 1:15 - 2:30pm on Thursdays Taught by Michelle Schaffer DRAMA II 1:15 - 3:30pm on Thursdays Taught by Stephen Boda, Robin Boda, and
Darla Speck Auditions for all 2008-2009 plays will be held August 21 and 28. (students prepare a one minute monologue of their choice. There are some good monologue books available at the library and some classical monologues are available at monologuearchive.com. We ask that no movies are used.) Cast lists will be posted on the third week of class when students will receive play books ($5 deposit). Students should be “off book” by January 30th - the first rehearsal of our first spring play. FIRST SEMESTER —— All Day Rehearsal and Performance - January 16th at First Baptist Ferguson SECOND SEMESTER —— Rehearsals January 30 thru March 12, Performed at New Hope with Drama I play. Limited costuming and set; emphasizing acting skill —— Rehearsals March 26 thru May 16, Performed at First Baptist Ferguson May 16, 17 —— This is for all Drama II students not preparing for an upcoming production. Students will focus on developing theatrical knowledge and acting skills, including improvisational acting. These students will host our family improv night – April 3. There will be at least four extra rehearsals required as we near production. There will
also be a $25 per child production fee second semester. We need help from all parents in one or more of the following areas:
costume, props, make-up, tech support, set design, publicity, and concessions. We will also need "all hands on deck" for
set-up and clean-up at each performance. We appreciate your availability. All program rules apply regarding tardiness, absences and discipline. |
