CHORAL

11:00 - 12:15 on Thursdays

Beginning Choir: (4 years - 2nd Grade) Singing to learn songs in a group, using motions and rhythm patterns. Taught by Deanna Chambers.

Intermediate Choir: (3rd-7th Grade) Group singing to learn harmony, note recognition, sectional parts singing, and performance. Taught by Mary Wahoff.

Advanced Choir: (8th - 12th Grade or Audition) More difficult rhythm patterns, 4-part harmony, voice training, music theory and contest/festival opportunities. Taught by Judy Roth.

*Classes are subject to cancellation due failure to meet minimum class enrollment. It is also possible for directors to cancel individual classes, in this case, the phone tree will be activated.
ALSO: Continued progress is expected; director reserves the right to place students in a lower level class.

MUSIC

Music will be distributed throughout the year. It is the responsibility of the student to take music home and bring it back to rehearsals. All music is the property of Providence and MUST be returned at the last performance. Failure to return music will result in the assessment of a replacement fee.

Damaged music is subject to a replacement fee as well.

If children lose their music, they will need to purchase a new set.

Choir time is the ideal setting for learning to play in a group. Parents are encouraged to provide supplemental music lessons.
